This Grey-crowed Rosy Finch is seeking food to sustain itself in the late winter; but the buds upon the aspen hint that spring is close at hand. This work is based upon a photograph I took near Estes Park, Colorado, this January.
This painting is large, 16X20". This was originally going to be the centerpiece for my future hypothetical brewpub in the Rockies, but I've had to put that plan on hold indefinitely. Mostly because I still haven't had the time to learn how to homebrew. And the money thing.
A lot of people have said this is their favorite bird painting of mine.
