Our Duct Tape wallets are made entirely from duct tape and packing tape, with many different colour options and designs available. Custom cut designs are available and also made entirely of duct tape and packing tape. All edges are completely sealed to prevent "sticky situations" when placing cards and money inside the wallets.
Each standard wallet includes one large pocket for bills (9"X3"), three small card pockets (4"X1"), two medium hidden pockets (4"X3"), and one "window" pocket for ID or bus pass (4"X3"). All measurements are approximate and may vary slightly on an individual basis. Upon special request number/type of pockets can be customized.
Each solid duct tape piece (all pockets, excluding window pocket) is lined with aluminum foil as an RFID Inhibitor to decrease the likelihood of fraudulent activities. For more information on RFID credit and debit cards, please feel free to visit http://www.consumereports.org (http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/magazine-archive/2011/june/money/credit-card-fraud/rfid-credit-cards/index.htm) or read below.
Protect yourself from potential fraud and theft by using an RFID Inhibitor. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) enabled debit and credit cards (Paypass, Blink, "Scan&Go", etc) work by transmitting your information to nearby receptors, allowing the receptor to charge funds to your account. However, RFID readers (receptors) can easily be purchased over the internet with shipping to anyone in North America.
Wrapping (sheilding) your RFID credit or debit cards with aluminum can greatly reduce the RFID signal, causing the maximum distance for a successful read to decrease from 3 feet to 3 inches. This increases the likelihood of an unsuccessful reception, ensuring that your personal information is secure. While no RFID Inhibitor to date has been proven as 100% successful in blocking the signal, aluminum lined duct tape has had greater success in decreasing signal strength than 8 out of 10 commercial products, according to www.consumerreports.org.
