I used a full 2" - 4" Mahogany. I will be laminating the sign together using water proof epoxy glue to a total thickness of 2" the banner ends will be tapered a ¾" – 1" thickness". l used 23 xx Gold Leaf on the script, stars and the entire trim on the banner. I painted the grapes and leaves. I will primed the surface with 2 coats of primer and then painted the surface with Interlux Brightside Yacht paint 5 – 6 coats of paint. It has a smooth hard gloss finish. l pre drilled the holes and paint the holes and supply stainless steel screws painted the surface color for installation, and secured the carving from the back through the post system.
