Cheryl's Elements series represent a unique style of work that she has dubbed "Articulated Art Quilts". The individual components are "quilted" together using brass and gold-plated jewelry findings.
The hand-dyed silks Cheryl uses to create these works evoke images of granite, quartz, moving waters: a very fundamental - or elemental - representation of the environment.
The fresh-water pearls that cascade from the bottom of the work glow with a soft warmth that sways in a breeze or when someone walks by the art. The resulting design of this work echos the impression of moving waters that the hand-dyed fabric evokes.
This work is approximately 8.5" x 18". Each work can be made to satisfy your size and color specifications. Shipped ready to hang.
