End Table Of Lacewood And Flame Maple
Unique end table with the top and aprons made of Lacewood while the aggressive tapered legs are of Flame Maple. The top has visible mortise & tenon joinery to the legs. Oil finish.
This table came to be from wanting to experiment with tapering legs. They taper sharply towards the floor and add a touch of gracefulness to the design. The aprons I did in a arc wanting to counterbalance the narrow ending legs with the size of the top. The Lacewood I spotted in a wood store with its unique grain and texture.
Together the Flame Maple and Lacewood create lots of movement to the eye yet the overall piece is subtle.
