This hard maple entertainment center was designed to make use of a wall space too narrow for the large screen TV. The homeowner did not want to remodel the wall structure, thus the cabinet was built to accommodate the TV as well as give the visual illusion of a wall to wall unit. Behind the TV is a door with sensor lighting to provide access to cables and wiring. Because the fireplace is gas energy, the entertainment center was modified to include the gas switches. Also included in this project are the hard maple fireplace mantle and the built-in shelf to the left of the fireplace, creating a unified look.
