I searched for months for an oversized (7") newel post emulating the design and workmanship of 100 years ago for our farmhouse. This entry bench is made of white oak and a two stain process. It has a carved mountain scene on the bench top with hand hammered chest hinges (with storage), and 4 carved doors with storage behind. It is 64 inches long. It also has a deep storage in the rear compartment and adjustable shelves behind the carved lower doors
