A wonderful client asked if we could create a console table for the front entry way to their beautiful home. We were asked if we could create this table to have a curved back, to fit within the same curvature of the sheet rocked wall. Together, we collaborated our ideas and decided that it would look best with a geometric design of inlaid maple in the walnut doors and left and right side panels, that match and also contain an inlaid oak sunburst marquetry design. There is also inlaid maple and walnut on both the trim on the top and bottom edges, which creates an accent that enhances the completed table. This particular table has a combination of several Mohawk stains and varnish coatings. The top of the table has three layers of urethane/spar which is a very protective coating against moisture, dust, etc.
The dimensions are 30" High x 58" Long x 18" Deep on both ends with a 24" depth in the center of this console. European concealed hinges were used on each of these three doors, that all swing open in the same direction.
