I asked Adam to make a walnut extendable dining table for me. I knew exactly what I wanted, so that made the process very straightforward. Adam always asked me questions when there were design decisions- finish, extension style, edge profile, etc.- which I really appreciated. Overall he was very easy to work with and communicated well during the whole process. He has very good craftsmanship and created a table that will be in our family for many years.
The customer wanted a dining table that could expand but have a way to conveniently store the extra leave in the table. This was accomplished by designing and building a butterfly leaf that unfolds from underneath once the table top halves are separated. This expands the table from 72" to 92" when the leaf is in use. The table is made entirely from walnut and finished with oil to bring out the beauty of the wood. It was then sealed with a high quality urethane topcoat for durability.
