Extra Large Walnut Extension Dining Table
The customer requested a large dining table for their new home. The dining room is 18' x 18' and comfortable seating for large gatherings was a must.
A walnut extension table was chosen. The final design created a 6' wide x 7' long table that expands to 12' in length with two 30" wide leaves.
A premium walnut veneer was oriented with the grain running the length of the table. The veneer was applied so that the grain matches at both the 7' length and the full 12' length.
The base consists of three pedestals with turned walnut legs. As an added convenience, the leaves can be stored within the table.
A matching 30" diameter Lazy Susan completes the design.
The table was finished with Mohawk brand Perfect Brown stain and a catalyzed satin lacquer clear coat.
