Field Of Poppies
This 25"x42" panel was created for a Custom Made client who wanted to put something beautiful in the opening between his kitchen and living room.
This panel is comprised of over 400 pieces of cut glass and there is over 20 different types of glass incorporated into the design. Iridescent glass has been used for the flower stalks; perfect for panels that will be placed indoors.
The design itself was adapted from a commercially available pattern. It is actually one of my favourite patterns and I was so happy to find a fun client to craft it for.
This panel was crafted using the Tiffany copper foil method. Each piece was hand cut, foiled and then soldered together. There is also a great deal of additional reinforcement in this panel.
