This is what I love to do. Ornate, detailed and time consuming, the cost of a fully tooled book cover is higher that for that of often equally elegant looking covers with less detailed design elements or carving only as trim. But for those who love carved leather as I do, nothing beats a full cover pattern.

The outside cover is of the highest quality carving leather. The inside is of finished calf skin but can also be made of a variety of designer leathers for an even richer look. Inside pocket panels can also be of thinner carving leather for continuation of the cover design, or customized with owners name / date. I also hand carve prayers or favorite short passages from the text to customize each cover.

A variety of finishing techniques and colors are available. This cover is hand laced with finished calf-skin lace, but stitching is also an option.
