Fused Fine Silver Loop In Loop Necklace With End Caps
This style of chain is based on multiple examples from the ancient Greek and Roman world.
This necklace is made from hand woven fused fine silver links. Each link is heated to melting temperature until the ends fuse (mostly controlled melting). After fusing each link is stretched and then woven in place. This creates a very strong and delicate chain that has a smooth flow and articulation.
The necklace is 22 3/4" long, with a half inch of adjustment. The chain is 1/4" on a side. This necklace has sterling silver end caps and a sterling lobster claw clasp.
