What a wonderful artist Michelle is! After meeting with us initially to better understand what we had in mind for the transom window, she prepared several artist drawings with suggested themes. Every one was a possibility that we could have been pleased with. With her talent it made it difficult to decide. We settled on one, then changed to another, and finally after incorporating elements from more than one, and with further changes and additions we finally settled on what has become a work of art in the 6' wide arched transom window above our 8' front doors. It incorporates elements of the family's heritage with a truly wonderful rondel at it's center.
This fused glass table sculpture is part of a four piece series that was inspired by the Hawaiian chant "Ke Ao Nani" (The Beautiful World). In the chant, I luna, up above, is where the birds soar in the heavens. I sought to capture the openness and freedom of a bird in flight by my choice of soft colors and undulating lines. The center tapestry of rich dichroic colors calls to the thrill of soaring up above the world. The glass sets in a copper frame which is securely imbedded in slate and framed in mahogany. It looks stunning on a desk, shelf or room divider. Natural light brings out the rich colors of the glass while the dichroic glass dramatically reflects ambient light. OOAK

This maker (creator) of my project was wonderful to work with. We had a tight timeline and she made everything easy and had great ideas to add. This was a gift for the founder of our company who was retiring. I received photo updates as the project advanced. Everything went perfect and the item was a big hit for all!

I was extremely pleased with the final peice. She was very professional. In the beginning I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted, but she gave me suggestions and guided me throughout the project. I got to see how the peice looked like from the time she started, the middle, until the very end of the project. The final peice was well wrapped and neat once it had arrived to my home. The peice was very detailed and breath taking. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking to have a customize table sculpture.
