This is a glass ball with a metal leaf enclosure. It is made so that it grips the glass ball minimizing chance for breakage. The leaves extend to about 6-7" in diameter, and the ball approximately 4-5" round. The leaves are made out of 18 gauge steel that will rust (most likely already rusted when you get it) and the stake is made out of 3/8 hot rolled steel that has been bent into a squiggle.
This listing includes both pieces, although some assembly required. We will not ship the ball in place, it will be packaged separately in a different box. The leaves may be shipped bent up, and you will just bend them into place.
We only make the metal portion. The glass balls are made by another local artisan in the Seattle area, Dehanna Jones of Totally Blown Glassworks.
