This fused and slumped glass platter is made with cut glass and ground glass (frit). After the glass was fused at about 1450 degrees, it returned to the kiln to be slumped over a mold at a lower temperature. This 12" x 17" platter made a wonderful anniversary gift for some wife from her loving husband. The light blue and white design surely shows off whatever food is served on it, hot or cold. I imagine it on display when not being used for a meal, handsome on its own or cradling cherries or nuts.
