A little tab of recycled silver formed using PMC resides below a plump prehnite rondelle in the softest of greens. The rectangle is imprinted with a whimsical floral pattern. It, along with the sterling silver chain and hand forged clasp, has been oxidized and hand buffed to a soft dark gray color. Two sapphire blue kyanite rondelles decorate the clasp. The soft patina and soothing green gemstone give it an overall feeling of calm. This is the perfect "little something" necklace - not too big, just a little embellishment for that favorite blouse or casual dress.
The chain measures 18 inches in length and the pendant and gem hang below another 1-1/4 inches. It is shown modeled on a mannequin for visual reference. You will receive it packaged in a kraft style box, tied up with a colorful ribbon.
PMC – Precious Metal Clay – is a clay comprised of tiny particles of reclaimed silver and an organic binder. I design and form each piece and then kiln fire it, where the binder burns away leaving behind the particles to cling together as fine silver (.999). After firing, each piece is hand buffed, sometimes oxidized and then made into a beautiful piece of jewelry.
