Seen in this group of photographs is a ring I made using 18K yellow gold. The ring was made for a customer who contacted me and wanted to know if I'd consider using a diamond inherited from someone in her family. Given that the diamond had a reasonably good appearance, I opted to work with the customer in seeing the project through. As are quite a number of people, she was quite favorable toward the idea of inverting a stone immediately beneath her channel set diamond. Following some exploration of color possibilities and consideration, she selected a gemstone that was just off of a red color...this specific stone being a particularly nice spinel.
Regarding the anticipated cost of such a ring, I'm opting to estimate the cost of ONLY the ring itself, including the spinel. The estimated cost I'm providing DOES NOT include the anticipated cost of the customer's diamond.
