Not everything I make are jewelry boxes, my love of Greene & Greene period furniture and details moved me to make this. I've utilized G&G details in some of my boxes, and this time I just had to build an entire large project that reflects their style.
This table is made out of Cherry, instead of the usual Mahogany that is usually used in this period.
The Ebony plugs and inset details holding the bread board ends to the top and also Ebony, pillowed and buffed to a high sheen.
The table is finished in 5 coats of hand rubbed oil, and the top additionally has 3 coats of hand rubbed urethane as a protection from liquids.
The size is 40" x 24" x 20"
