"Growth"
This art quilt is made of hand-dyed silks. In the center there are two layers of silk that form the transparency of the image. I chose polyester felt batting because it is very lightly quilted and thus allows for fewer stitches so that the image dominates without overpowering stitching. It has a cotton backing.
