This ring was created to celebrate a women's Hall of Fame champion. Rather than the predictably masculine 'Superbowl' style, I achieved something much more compelling for her.
The ring is formed in the shape of a basketball rim and net, with the ball dropping through the net. Her name and school are impressed around the top and side edges of the net, and we added a circle of diamonds in the vortex formed by the net.
One panel of the ball has the year impressed on it, while the other two panels are set with pave diamonds.
The whole assembly sits on a sculpted ergonomic shank with is detailed with her jersey number and star decor.
The ring is made in Palladium and was designed through the CAD process on my computer. Final cost was $3560.
