Hancock Shaker Candle Stand
In his book "Making Authentic Shaker Furniture" John G. Shea called this table "Perhaps the most beautiful pedestal table ever built by the Shakers ... a design composition of exquisite harmony" The original was made at Hancock around 1830. The design is now widely reproduced, but these seldom capture the subtlety in the turning of the stem and the junction of the tapered arched legs as does our piece.
Available in cherry, as was the original, and clear or curly maple. Finish is in clear shellac. Given the nature of the work involved, a 50% deposit and a 4 week lead time is required. We also produce a variety of classic and custom built Shaker furniture.
