floppy and roomy linen tote with vegetable tanned, beeswaxed leather trim.
this heavyweight linen is from an 80 year old eco oriented mill. i use linen because it is a clean, naturally anti-microbial fiber. growing flax and weaving it into linen fabric is a very sustainable process, and always has been. this linen has a great nubby texture and a variety of tans/gray fibers in it.
it is painted with pink, blue, yellow, and white.
the leather straps are hand cut and waxed with beeswax from a beekeeper down the road from my house. i make my own blend of beeswax and plant oils to coat the leather and make it almost waterproof. it will develop a beautiful patina over the years.
leather straps and logo tag are secured with nickel rivets.
rivets are finished on both ends, and are secured with leather "washers" for durability.
the tote is lined with pure linen. there is a double wall pocket.
hidden rare earth magnet closure
double stitched seams, pintucking detail.
15" wide, 12" tall, strap drop 12"
tote is handpainted, so pattern will vary.
