Solid wood pencil post bed made from solid wood. My beds are exceptional for quality and strength. The beds are made just like an early antique bed, with bed bolts and bed bolt covers. I use five slats, supported with center support and ledger strip. The ledger strip is used on all beds and the cross slats are dovetailed into the ledger. Each bed is made from hand selected lumber. I don't use glued up boards to make my posts, the posts are cut from full 3" thick squares, kiln dried.
