Handcrafted Wood Rocking Horse / Early American

My classic all wood rocking horse is handcrafted from finish grade Pine and Poplar. The horse is assembled using only glue and dowels - No screws, nails or metal products are used in the building process.

Each Rocking Horse is handcrafted in my home workshop using my band saw, radial-arm saw, drill press, oscillating spindle sander, and lots of wood clamps. The typical construction timeframe is 6-8 weeks. Due to differences in woodgrain, stain, natural features of the wood and overall woodworking process, variations in surface appearance are expected. Each rocking horse is one of a kind.

I crafted my first Rocking Horse for my niece as a baby gift for her newborn. It is the same design that my father built 30+ years earlier for the very same niece to enjoy when she was a child. After seeing how much joy the Rocking Horse provided, I decided to share this with others.
