Handmade Journal In Altered Cigar Box Assemblage
This is an altered cigar box and handmade journal. The box itself is treated with decorative paper that has been aged. Inside the box houses a handmade journal and reused leather cover board.
There are 12 signatures. Each signature has four sheets. All signatures hand-stitched. I have used a traditional case binding.
The cover is a reused quarter-bound leather book that has collage and found objects.
The book measures 7.5" x 5.5" x 1"
Spine is retreated and added collage image.
Clasp is metal gear with cord.
