Tongue drums are hollow wooden boxes with carved "tongues" of different lengths, widths, and shapes. Each tongue makes a different tone when struck, usually with a mallet.
My tongue drums are handmade, and no two are alike. There are a variety of different woods you can choose from including paduak, cherry, cedar, oak, or pine. Each wood produces a difference in tone. There are also different sizes you can choose from, and mallets are included.
Woodburning or intarsia (reverse inlay) can be added to the drum for additional customization.
