Hands Of Time

Two priorities: A Herkimer Diamond that touches the skin of the wearer, and that the overall theme be "Mystical Mechanical." The rest of the design was left in my hands. So I found a cool Herkimer Diamond, cut into an old tintype photo, roll printed some sprockets, installed two working gears, built a case with a central window and acid etched it. The mixture of metals used are sterling silver, copper, & brass.

The passage of time can be seen on the case by "reading" the piece from left to right, you'll note the gears become clearer as you reach the right side, "coming into focus" as it were. A fraternal seal is present. It's up to you to decide which is the minute & hour hand. (Most unique watch crystal you'll ever see!)
