Handwoven Recycled Wool Rag Rug

My Hand Woven Recycled Natural Wool Rag Rugs for Your Rustic Cottage, Cabin or Traditional Home are both colorful and durable. They are designed and made individually with a painterly style, often as studies in color or themes. They can be hung on the wall, thrown on or under a table, or fit in small spaces that need a little something. Take off your shoes and boots and let your toes feel the textures underneath them, imagine New England stone walls, walking barefoot in the dirt and soaking up the energy of the earth to renew and refresh your spirit...

Wool rags are folded carefully and placed one at a time to overlap with the previous one and to the next to form a tight weave. My wool rugs use wool wefts on cotton warps, recycling old wool clothes and blankets. Variations many depend on color rag availability. This rug has muted gray and brown tones, which I call "Stone Wall." It is approximately 38"W x 52"L. Colors can be changed to other tones and size can be customized, please contact be for other size quotes, if interested. Fringes are hand-tied and twisted.

I also can make similar rugs using Cotton Rag Fill, which you can see in examples in my portfolio. The colors and textures do vary from wool rugs. Please contact me if you are interested for more information and an estimate.
