This modern wood mirror is made entirely of scrap and salved wood and measures 22" wide x 30" tall and 2" deep from the face of the frame to the wall it hangs on. The stunning multicolored wood frame that surrounds the mirror is 1-1/8" wide. A few of the boards have nail marks showing the history of a hard working life. Although many of the boards began with a rustic appearance, they've been patched and sanded smooth giving the wood a finished quality, nothing shabby here.
The wood used on this framed mirror varies including pine, fir, redwood, and cypress. Others types possibly unknown, all softwoods. The calico color pattern is made by cross laminating a wood block core surrounded by wood strip sides, all carefully laid out for color and composition. There's a wire on back and 3/16" mirrored glass installed, the wood finish is a clear water based urethane.
