We were looking for a custom, live edge mantle, and really love the final piece we got from High Country Woodworking. I am close to this area, so really liked the idea of using local materials and supporting a local artist. I would definitely come back for other pieces in the future.
We don't like wasting scraps at the shop so we like to turn them into functional cutting boards. The species will change up depending on what we have been making but often we use maple, walnut, cherry, and white oak.
