Our hardwood hats and visors are a unique and exciting creation. The hardwood bill of the hat is available in a variety of hardwoods. The premier wood in the line is koa, a beautiful wood found only in the Hawaiian Islands. We use two different grades of koa for the bill. The first is a fine quality koa, with highlights and figure. The premium choice is curly koa, one of the most highly prized woods in the world.
While stiff, the bill is not rigid, and provides a comfortable fit. We've engineered the weight factor to be comparable to a conventional baseball cap bill, while retaining strength and durability. Besides being handsome and a real conversation starter, our hats are comfortable to wear.
The wood is finished with three coats of a high quality exterior urethane marine varnish which has an ultraviolet inhibitor, protecting against sun damage.
We offer wood bill options that include, but are not limited to, sapele pomele, Australian lacewood, zebrawood, mahogany, oak and too many more to list. If you are interested, drop us an email or give us a call. We love to talk hats and woods!
