The beauty of this wand is in the detail of the design and the color of the wood. The brightly colored Black Palm and Ebony are all natural; no dye or stain has been added. Ebony is hard and dense and this example has a pretty straight grain. Black Palm is hard but lighter in weight and its brown/tan background is accented with flecks of rich black grain.
This wand is a unique quality handcrafted work of art. I sanded it super smooth on the lathe to 1000 grit. The black palm handle is finished with boil lindseed oil and super glue. Then the wand is coated with shellac and buffed with natural waxes. Handle and shaft woods are doweled and glued together with epoxy before turned on the lathe.
