This is a Hawaiian Curly Koa Mission Style Rocker. This rocker is hand made by Lee Gilbert a local craftsman. Lee Gilbert has been working in this media for about 40 years. These rockers sell in Art Galleries for over $6,500.
The mission style rocker has been a Hawaiian favorite for many years and is one of the most desired style rockers sold in Hawaii. The finish on this curly koa rocker is hand rubbed Conversion Varnish. It has a rich deep gloss finish that is very durable. This rocker is sure to be a family heirloom that will last for many generations to come.
Lee's rockers are full size rockers, unlike the smaller rockers found in most galleries. I am 6' 3' at 280 lbs. and I have owned 7 of Lee's rockers, I have given 3 as gifts and cherish the 4 we currently have. For me they are the only rockers I have found that are comfortable. They are also very well constructed; personally I would be concerned with the structural strength of some other rockers.
