Heirloom Easel Book Box
This book box was made to keep and protect an heirloom 100 year old family bible. We added the easel feature so the bible could also be displayed. The box is made from Honduran mahogany with the lid and easel book-matched. The lid frame, base cove, book supports, and lock mechanism are made of wenge. The simple lock mechanism is to keep the easel in place when the lid is closed and upside down. Beautifully constructed, now the box and bible can be handed down as heirlooms together.
