We tell our clients that hickory is what professionals use to sharpen diamond. While this is a bit of an embellishment, the fact that hickory is extremely hard and durable remains. The lively natural character of the wood enables us to implement one of our favorite custom steps: grainmatching! You will notice that consecutive doors and other members correspond to each other in regards to the wood grain. Little room for error, but we're up for the task!
