This unique item is a Walnut and glass display case featuring 360 degree miters on all sides, including the legs and skirts. There were no screws or nails used in this project and the entire glass case is mitered on all corners to form 6 separate connection points, to perfection. The top is mitered on all sides, and is mitered on top to contain the glass. The top actually fits in a completely mitered form to the case sides.
Of particular note:
All mitered pieces that have an adjacent piece of walnut were cut from the same piece throughout the entire cabinet, including the legs, thereby illustrating a total hardwood grain match in this item.
This piece was made for a client to display one of their heirloom made possessions.
The glass was also beveled to compliment the mitered joinery.
