Example Architectural Portrait; Watercolor Painting

An example of an original watercolor, painted on 140lbs Arches watercolor paper, with ink pen detailing. It measures 8x24".

It is a detailed view of the Historic Charleston Foundation, in Charleston SC. The building is situated on Battery Row, amidst many grand and beautiful old houses. This doorway, like many around it, has such character that I felt it deserved its own painting!

The final piece was matted to fit a standard sized frame measuring 11.75x36".
