This kitchen was built after Hurricane Rita. The owners were doing alot of the work themselves but needed us for their kitchen cabinets. The base cabinets were all made taller. The finished hieght was 38". The upper cabinets were not uniform at all. They were different hieghts and depths. It gave a staggered look. The client put artificial vines on top of the shorter cabinets. The cabinet for the refrigerator freezer was 6' wide to accommodate the 2 units.
The island was not only taller than usual, it was also deeper than usual. The cooktop and a wine cooler were in the island. We installed raised panels on both ends and the back of the island. There were steal support columns on each end of the island that we wrapped with maple. We built a beam above the island to accommodate the wiring and hang the lights. The entire kitchen was wrapped with crown molding.
Dimensions: This was a complete kitchen. The only measurements that I remember are the 38" tall base cabinets. The ref/freezer cabinet had an opening of 6' so that the 2 units would fit. The island was 8' long, fit between 2 support columns.
