I can design and construct a beautiful home library or study to match your functional requirements, style and decor preferences, and space constraints. It can be either a built-in or free-standing pieces and can be designed for an entire room or a portion of a room.
Two examples shown here. One is a whole room library for a home, circa 1911, in the Arts & Crafts style popular at that time. The client, in addition to enjoying the Arts & Crafts style, was very concerned to remain architecturally consistent with the home overall style. The room size is 26' x 16' and the library consists of 17 bookcases, 2 window box seats, 9' steam radiator cover, boxed ceiling beams and fireplace mantel. This library was constructed of Cherry and Walnut and includes additional details such as decorative inlays and cherry wall paneling.
The other example is home study for a client to accommodate his law library and provide a comfortable space for quiet work. Constructed of Cherry and Lacewood, the study includes fireplace mantel and bookcase and cabinets on left and right. Accent lighting above the bookcases is included.
Prices may range from $6,000 to $60,000 and are based on scale, materials and other features. Call or e-mail for additional photos or details on these projects.
