Huge Ceramic Leaf Bowl Sculpture From Real Leaf With Watercolor Glaze By Faith Ann Of Fao

Exceptionally large, hand-sculpted, kiln-fired ceramic bowl-sculpture featuring the impression of a single, real leaf, painstakingly highlighted by my signature watercolor glaze. Ideal for a great room focal wall, large dining table, or corporate setting!

I form my huge leaf bowls from a single, real, highly textured leaf, and one exceptionally large slab of clay. The leaf used to create this natural shaped bowl is turned to ash, destroyed during bowl's 1st firing, making each of these sculptures a true One-Of-A-Kind!

The piece in the example photos, entitled "At First Light", measures approximately 20 inches wide by 26 inches long. At 2 feet or greater in size, these bowls capture attention. But the texture is incredible! You should SEE the look on someone's face when they FEEL it!

Although their size is impressive, each is finely finished. A captivating watercolor effect is applied after finishing and the piece's first kiln-firing, followed by the application of my favorite crystal clear glaze.

*Dual Duty
By virtue of it's food safe glaze, your Huge Leaf Bowl can be pressed into service as a magnificent serving piece. Can you picture this big beauty overflowing with fragrant fresh fruit or a delightful summer salad to greet your guests?

Depending on your display needs, I can flatten or round the unglazed, natural finished underside, or even fit it for wall mounting. I recommend wiping with a soft cloth or a quick wash with liquid dish soap and a gentle rinse.

All my pieces, large and small, are made by hand in my little studio or in my Milwaukee backyard, often using whatever foliage is handy and in season!
