I worked as a costumer on a local independent film in Oct of 2012. I ended up creating two turn of the 19th century men's costumes for the production. The only description, given by the director, was: "They're colonial hobos...like they've been living in the woods for 6 months". Both feature cotton yoked shirts, satiny waistcoats, and black trousers. They were extensively distressed, with a combination of rips, tears, coffee and tea to mimic sweat and grime stains, and dirt. These were completed in whole in seven days.
