I have a serious love for old vintage signs. I also love photography. Whenever I can, I take road trips and shoot these long, forgotten beauties. The more rusty and decrepit, the better. Then I go home and figure out which one I want to paint. It is a challenge, it is inspiring, I love painting all the details and tiny bulbs. For me, it becomes a gorgeous piece of artwork that I can be proud of. I would like to share that with you. Have you ever shot something that you think would make an awesome painting? Maybe they will inspire you to dig through your photos... Watercolor on cradled aquabord. I paint these starting at sizes 9 x 12" and up to 22 x 30". Any smaller and I will go blind ;-).
