Indian Leafwing Butterfly Swarm Mask
A masquerade mask inspired by the striking markings of this eastern butterfly.
This design is hand carved from leather, soaked in water, baked in the oven, then meticulously painted and sealed. A variety of acrylic paints were used, included a special 'interference' paint which creates a lovely blue flash in the wings.
