This piece is AWESOME in person..... The panel is from a 100 year old power plant and is simply one of the coolest pieces I've ever came across. The challenge with a piece like this is crafting a design worthy of the starting point. The base was designed and built with both style and function in mind. The legs have adjustable feet with industrial strength nylon gliders. I went to great lengths to hide all of my welds on this table. What does that mean? No visible welds and a super clean finish. I was so intrigued by this table that I couldn't at just a table. I wanted to light the gages. So, two days of work and 12 amber LED's later it was so...... I actually used the original key and switch to turn on and off the newly mounted gage lights. The entire system is ran from a remote battery pack and three AA batteries. The hidden pack is attached with velcro under the table and easily pulls out for a quick painless battery change. All of these details coupled with a multi-layer hand finish and a slab of 1/2" glass make for a true show stopper.
