This unusual table lamp was made from a very old roof drain cover salvaged from an old building in downtown Atlanta, GA. The shade is cast iron and the base is a timing gear from old textile machinery. The dark green paint is original, and looks almost black, very closely resembling a "Charleston Green". We wired it with a high-quality antique brass socket with full dimmer function, six feet of cloth-covered wire, and an antique style plug. The light shining through the openings in the shade casts beautiful shadows in the room. The components are antiques in their own right, and the patina of the metals has been preserved with a clean, wipe-able finish.
