Interconnecting 5" X 5" Scrabble Letters For Custom Plaques
Imagine being able to knock together a great looking custom sign in just a few minutes for any number of special occasions! With the proper letters and connectors you could easily construct a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY", "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY", "MERRY CHRISTMAS", "HAPPY NEW YEAR", "WELCOME HOME", "WYNE THYME", etc. while using your same wall hangers for each plaque.
Our Scrabble type letter system consists of the individual letter (obviously) and our proprietary "DogBone" connectors, which hold the letters firmly together. The "DogBone" connector fits precisely into pre-cut reliefs on the back of the letter.
Each letter also has a multi-position flush wall mounting keyhole cutout for hanging on standard wall hangers, like a drywall screw, picture hanger, etc. allowing them to be mounted individually or by using one or more of the multi-position cutouts on each letter when the letters are connected together with the proprietary "DogBone" connectors.
The "DogBone" themselves come in straight connectors for vertical or horizontal connections, a 15 degree "DogBone" connector for a more whimsical connection, and a 30 degree "DogBone" connector for another whimsical look. There are 2 positions for the "DogBone" connector on each side of the back of each letter (for a total of 8 connection points) with pilot holes. Each letter typically uses 2 "DogBone" per connected side.
By offsetting the "DogBone" connectors, you can get a vertical stair step type offset. You can also do the same thing in a horizontal fashion. Or you can vary every other tile for an up and down effect.
In addition, by connecting the tiles with the 30 degree "DogBone" connectors, you can make a 12 letter wreath approximately 28" in diameter. A 24 letter wreath, approximately 48" in diameter, is also possible with the 15 degree "DogBone" connectors.
These plaques are easily assembled (and / or reassembled in a different configuration) with the "DogBone" system and the pre-drilled pilot holes.
Each letter comes with your choice of 2 "DogBone" connectors - straight, 15 degrees, and 30 degrees, and 4 screws.
Other standard tiles include Blank, Heart, Apple, Star, States, and Numbers.
