Glazed in soft mauve purples blending with claybody, reflective black underscore, and saturated blues and purples on the inside. Arabesque design around the belly shows the beauty and texture of the claybody, like a monument in miniature, the feeling of elegant permanence. Practical and decorative.
Earthy high-fire stoneware thrown on my potter's wheel, glazed and fired at my school to around 2400° Fahrenheit, achieving our highest level of strength and vitrification for longevity and dynamic glaze effects. Made freestyle without use of molds, casting, measurements, nor templates so it's one of a kind. The finish is always influenced by the extreme and serendipitous environment of the kiln.
