Irid Glass Wall Sconce

This is another collaboration with my friends at Mesolini Glass Studio. The shades are made of matching glass but do not actually match as a pair. They are separated by a wide window so they can kind of stand alone. This was fun. I hammered some copper straps to hold the glass. I soldered on some custom mounts that slip over some long copper hooks soldered to the body. The body was fabricated from some old copper roofing I had around. The back is oxidized around the edges with a bright copper "glow" in the center. The body has a lacquer finish. The socket cups are custom made. They are combined with some brass fittings that carry the wire.

Materials: Copper, slumped irid glass, brass
Dimensions: 17" tall x 15" wide x 7" deep
