Iris Earrings made of sterling silver with oval, Amazonite gemstones. They are lightweight and stay in place with a post behind the top petal. Displayed with a Matte Finish. Each Iris Earring measures to be 1 X 1 inches (26 X 26 mm). If you would like larger or smaller earrings, or with a different gemstone, contact me. They will take up to 3 weeks to ship.
I make each piece of jewelry as similar as possible to the photos on this website. However, keep in mind that since each item is handmade there will be slight differences compared to the item in the photo. I take pride in my work and want all of my customers to be satisfied.
I begin each earring by carefully sawing the shape of my design into a sheet of sterling silver. If this earring has a stone I solder a bezel (the frame around the stone) onto the silver shape to prepare for the stone-setting process. I then solder a silver post on the back of each earring. The next step is bending the silver for a three-dimensional shape before soldering a silver post behind the earring. Once all of the silver is soldered together I sand all around each sharp edge with tools and sandpaper. Lastly, I place the cabochon stone into the bezel and hammer the bezel from the bottom up so that it holds down the stone.
